La Rada Beach is directly in front of the town centre. The beach is 2.4km wide and is very popular with locals and tourists. The town and beach are divided by picturesque promenades with gardens and play area. The majority of the watersports can also be found at La Rada Beach including sports such as windsurfing and Kayaking. For refreshments you will find many Chiringuitos (beach bars) serving local specialties and more popular foods. The beach is also served by a lifeguard. There are toilets and cafes close to the beach as well. Towards the western end of the beach you will find the Marina.
El Cristo Beach can be found on the western outskirts of Estepona. As this is a smaller quieter beach it is suited towards families. The beach is sheltered from as it is a cove and the beach slopes gently towards in to the sea. There are two fantastic chiringuitosm serving snacks and seafood.
Beaches West of Estepona
Playa Costa Natura is a public access naturalist beach. There is a Chiringuitos where you can also hire sun beds and parasols. There is also a member's only nudist village with more facilities. You are able to purchase day passes.
Sabinillas is a small traditional fishing village where local fisherman land their daily catches as they land their boats on the beach after a day's fishing. This is a tranquil long sandy beach.
Puerto Duquesa is beautiful busy beach serving excellent food as well as alot of hire facilities.
Sotogrande is a resort club. There are two main beaches El Octógono and El Cucurucho which offer a range of services including swimming pools, restaurants, children's clubs.
Costa de la Luz has many wide open beaches located between rugged cliff tops. Tarifa has is the largest beach at 3.5miles of golden sand. Condition can get very windy here. The wind also draws kite surfer and windsurfers. There are also some stunning views as this is the shortest point between mainland Europe and Africa. There are also many other beaches along this coast.
Beaches East of Estepona
El Pardron Beach is just few miles away from Estepona. Its gets busy during the peak months but is very beautiful. There are hire facilities for parasol, sunbed's and watersport's as well some Chiringuito's.
laya el Saladillo (nr, Costalita) is the perfect beach if you are looking for golden sands and not too crowded. You will also find two excellent beach restaurants here serving traditional quinine. There are also hire facilities for parasols and sun beds.
Playa Puerto Banus (Puerto Banus) is on the eastern side of the marina and has the protection of a jetty. Puerto Banus is a resort that is popular with the rich and famous. There are views of 'The Rock' Gibraltar as well as the amazing views of the La Concha mountain range. There is a fabulous range of international cuisine in the cosmopolitan Puerto Banus. There are also many galleries and boutiques to muse.
Funny Beach (Marbella) is an amusement beach where you will find watersport's hire facilities including windsurfing, banana boat rides, jet skis, canoes, wind surfing, go-karts, miniature golf, pinball machines, darts, medicine ball as well as deckchairs, and a snack bar.
San Pedro Beach is a promenade with an array of beach bars. You can also hire jet skis as well as try wakeboarding and watrerskiing.
